Wednesday evening paddles are meant to be a fun, relaxed and sometimes spur-of-the-moment events. Unless you have specific issue, it is not necessary to contact the coordinator.   The day of the paddle, check the blue message box on “Home” page of the club website  www.comoxvalleypaddlers.ca.  This will give current information about the Wednesday paddles, mostly regarding cancellations.  Also check the paddle details by going to the “Trip List” on the website, click on the paddle details for more information.

Email the Trip Committee, if you are coordinating a Wednesday Evening Paddle, for posting to the website.  Look at the paddle suggestion(s) tab under the “Trip Planning” category for ideas.  It is the coordinator’s responsibility to check weather conditions the day of the paddle, and notify the Trip Committee no later than 4:00pm (the day of) if there is going to be a cancellation.  Rain by itself does not automatically mean a cancel. As long as there’s no wind, and with the appropriate clothing, it can still be a fun paddle.  Ultimately, it is the coordinator’s choice to cancel the paddle.
