Wednesday Evening Paddles

Wednesday evening paddles are meant to be a fun, relaxed and sometimes spur-of-the-moment event. Unless you have specific issue, it is not necessary to contact the coordinator.   The day of the paddle, check the bright green box on Home page of the club website  www.comoxvalleypaddlers.ca.  This will give current information about the Wednesday paddles, mostly regarding cancellations.  The size of the box is limited, so also check the paddle details by going to the “2017 Trip List” on the website. Click on the paddle details for more information.

Email the ‘webmanager‘ if you are coordinating a Wednesday Evening Paddle for posting to the website.  Look at the paddle suggestion(s) tab under the Trip Planning category for ideas.  It is the coordinator’s responsibility to check weather conditions the day of the paddle, and notify ‘webmanager’ no later than 4:00pm (the day of) if there is going to be a cancellation.  Rain by itself does not automatically mean a cancel. As long as there’s no wind, and with the appropriate clothing, it can still be a fun paddle.  Ultimately, it is the coordinator’s choice to cancel the paddle.

Day Trips

Details about Day Trips are on the website under “2017 Trip List”.  It is necessary to email the coordinator to let them know you are planning on attending.  This allows the coordinator the ability to contact you if there is a cancellation (the day of), and to pre-process some of the paperwork.  If you wish to coordinate a Day Trip, email Helen at hkoziol@shaw.ca

Multi-Day Trips

Details about Multi-Day Trips are on the website under “2017 Trip List”.  It is necessary to email the coordinator if you are planning on attending. This allows the coordinator time to make specific arrangement related to the trip.  It also allows the coordinator the ability to contact you regarding pre-trip planning meetings, cancellations, etc. If you wish to coordinate a Multi-Day Trip, email Helen at hkoziol@shaw.ca
