Goose Spit with CRpaddlers – July 18, 2018

Trip Description:  Paddle from one side of Goose Spit to the other with the Campbell River Paddling Club

Date:  July 18, 2018

Time:  Launch at 6:30

Meeting Place:  Goose Spit. Parking could be a problem. Some of us may have to unload our boats and then move vehicles to make room for others.

Description:  Weather and winds permitting, paddle from the estuary side of the spit past the Sea Cadet camp and around the end of the spit back to the beach side. Time permitting will likely allow for a paddle under the cliffs before returning to the beach where boats will be loaded and then there will be a time for socializing between our two clubs on the beach.

Length of Trip:  Approximately two hours

Rating: 1 = Day Paddle–Easy. (for more details

Coordinator:  Frank McCullough  250 871-1933

Notes:  We want to host the Campbell River club for a good paddle and social time after. We are setting up a few tables on the beach and would appreciate if some people brought some finger food to share. We will have small plates and napkins available. We do not need a lot of food so the suggestion is that only people with odd number birthdays bring something to share. Everyone should bring their own beverage but no alcohol and no glass please.

All of this is weather permitting. We may be able to paddle but not have food if it is too windy or showery. Watch the website for last minute updates.
