Tsable River – June 13, 2018

Destination: Tsable River

Date: June 13th 2018

Time: Meet at 6:00 pm launch at 6:30 pm

Meeting place:  We’ve been given permission to drop off and launch our boats behind the store at the Buckley Bay ferry terminal and then park our vehicles in the gravel area on the highway.

Description: A leisurely shoreline paddle to the Tsable River estuary.  High tide of 15.1′ is predicted for 19:18 which should give us enough water to explore the estuary and go up the river.  Should be about 2 hours total.

Rating: Level  1 – 2a

No limit on participants

Other conditions:  The beach is rocky/pebbly and the water shallow for most of the paddle.  It is protected from prevailing winds but we will be rounding the point into Baynes Sound to get to the estuary so if there’s a breeze we will likely be paddling against it, and the tide, for a short time.  Sunset is around 9:30.
