Please note that due to Covid 19, it is mandatory to pre-register for every paddle.  If you wish to attend, send e-mail to the trip co-ordinator by 6 p.m. the day before the paddle.

Destination: Union Bay (shoreline paddle past Coal Hills)

Date:  June 16, 2021

Time: Paddles in the water at 6:00 PM.  As BC’s Public Health has increased the size of groups participating in outdoor sports, we no longer need to create groups of 10.  By registering it is assumed that you have read and agree to the Comox Paddlers Club (CPC) Disclosure of Responsibilities, Release of Liability, Assumption of Risk and Indemnity on your membership form.

Meeting Place: Union Bay boat launch off Hwy 19A. Remember to display your Paddling Club decal to launch for free (last year’s decal is still valid).

Description: We will follow the shoreline heading north out of Union Bay past Coal Hills and the new shipyard (a.k.a. old log dump) to Dorothy Rd. Due to the low tide, we will not be paddling close to the shore. 

Length of Trip: 6.5 km return (estimated at 2 hours).

A stop and stretch is possible, but not certain (water level dependent).
