Destination: Spider Lake
Date: September 21, 2022
Time: Paddles in the water at 1:00 PM.
Meeting Place: Spider Lake Provincial Park picnic grounds.
Description: Spider Lake is a small lake but with a long shoreline. We plan to have a leisurely paddle exploring the shoreline around the lake. We will launch from the picnic grounds swimming area. It will be important for us to stay clear of the swimmers in the swimming area so we will launch our boats to the left side of the beach area. I would ask everyone planning to come to register as it is out of town a ways and if for any reason the plans change, those registered could be notified of the change.
Information on the web re: park hours are not clear and so far no one from the park has returned messages but it appears the park gates close at 4:30PM thus the early launch time.
Length of Trip (hours/days): 2 to 2 1/2 hours
Rating: 1= Day Paddle–Easy. (you should be able to do a wet exit for ANY club paddle)
