Destination: Comox Harbor and Goose Spit via Royston boat launch. Weather dependent, we will paddle around the Royston Wrecks and make our way over to the Comox Harbor and to ‘Little Mexico’ on the Spit (approx. 1 nm). If the weather is not as favorable, we will stay in the Royston area and/or go part way up the river.

Time: 1:30 – 4:30 pm paddle. (1:30 = “Paddles in the water”)

Length of Trip: paddle for 2.5-3 hours
Rating: 1 easy; this is a SISKA “Relaxed paddle”

Maximum People: Unlimited (Open to Raft Up guests and ALL interested Comox Valley Paddler Club members/guests)
Other Conditions: High Tide is 4 metres at 3:00 pm and low tide 3.8 metres at 6:30 so not much fluctuation in afternoon tides on this day. We will check wind and other weather conditions prior to the paddle.
Notes: Launch driving out at Royston boat launch is not as accessible as previously. Paddlers will need to help each other and/or use wheels.
Please dress for the water temperature and have practiced your rescues.
NB: Raft Up “Wrap Up” celebration happens tonight at Roy’s Town Pub (reservation at 5:30)
