Destination: Chrome Island/Denman Island
Date: July 17, 2019
Time: Meet at 5:30 PM. On the water by 6:30 PM.
Meeting Place: Deep Bay Firehall (https://goo.gl/maps/RNC6w5k1B8E8jryD7). Corner of Gainsberg Road and Mountain View Road. We will drive from there to the launch point.
Description: Paddle across to Chrome Island (30 – 45 minutes) and explore around south end of Denman Island. If there is time, the weather is favourable and people are interested we can paddle across to Hornby Island. There is also a rocky beach just along the south-west tip of Denman Island, that connects to a park.
Length of Trip: 2 – 3 hours
Rating: 2 (because there is often wind in the area)

Other Conditions: If it’s too windy then there is a sheltered area along Vancouver Island where we can paddle.
Notes: I suggest carpooling. Bring some snacks… the rock beach is quite a nice place to enjoy the early evening sun
