Gartley Point – Fun Kayak Skills and Orca Sighting

Destination: Gartley Beach to Kingfisher and Spindrift

Date: July 7, 2021

Time: Please arrive between 5:30 and 5:45, first group will have paddles in the water at 6 pm and second group at 6:15

Meeting Place: Tom and Donna’s house, 4134 Gartley Point Road.  Shuttle the cars into the yard to offload, then park your car nose-in on Gartley Point Road.  We can launch from the yard.

Description: We will launch and have some fun kayak games to test your skills just off our beach.  At 6:30ish we will wrap up the games and paddle south past Gartley Beach, the Kingfisher Spa, and end up near the Spindrift shore where a breaching Orca sighting is guaranteed. Total paddle length not including the games is 4-5 km return
