Comox Paddler’s Club – Coordinator’s Trip Description

Please note that due to Covid 19 it is mandatory to pre-register for every paddle.  If you wish to attend, send an e-mail to the trip co-ordinator by 6 p.m. the day before the paddle. By registering it is assumed that you have read and agree to the Comox Paddlers Club (CPC) Disclosure of Responsibilities, Release of Liability, Assumption of Risk and Indemnity on your membership form.

Destination: Puntledge River – (Dam to Dam)

Date:  Wednesday, June 30, 2021 (Canada Day Eve! – show your pride)

Time:  Paddles in the water at 5:30 p.m. Earlier launch time because the gate closes at 8 pm. Please arrive by 5:00 p.m. – there is a restricted carry down to a small launch area.

Meeting Place: Comox Lake Dam 

Stay on Lake Trail Rd. for 4.4 km (from Willemar & Lake Trail 4-way stop)

Turn Left at the stop sign onto Comox Logging Road

Another 4 km (turns to gravel part way – watch for trucks and potholes) then cross the one-lane bridge

Entrance to Comox Dam Recreation Area is just on the right (blue sign)

Description:  Puntledge River paddle (easy, slow flowing water)

Length of Trip (hours/days): 1.5 hours

Rating:  (1= Day Paddle–Easy. 2=Day Paddle– Intermediate. 3=Day Paddle–Advanced. 4=Tripping – for more details http://comoxvalleypaddlers.ca/trip-ratings):  Rating is 1.
