Destination : Tree island
Date : Wednesday August 20th
Time: paddles in water 4 pm
Meeting place : Union Bay boat ramp
Description: paddle over to Tree island. Stop for picnic and maybe a swim or walk on Tree island, then paddle around the island and back to Union Bay. Tide will be above 4 metres so plenty of water to paddle around. Aim to be back at Union Bay by 8.15 pm
Length :aprox 13 km. 4 hours with time for picnic supper and swim/walk
Rating :2 – not a beginner paddle as it involves a 4 km crossing. Must have practiced a wet exit and rescue. Kayak must be at least 14 feet
