Comox Paddler’s Club Trip Coordinator’s Description
Destination: Comox Lake
Date: Wednesday, June 28
Time: Paddles in the water at 6 pm (Arrive at 5:30pm or earlier…see launch notes)
Meeting Place: Immediately after crossing the bridge…PLEASE NOTE: stay on the main road and do not go through the yellow gate to the dam parking lot.
Description: A spectacular evening paddle on the west side of Comox Lake towards Comox Glacier past the Comox Lakes Bluffs along an interesting and varied shoreline.
Length of Trip: Approx. 2 hours

Directions: From Courtenay head west on Lake Trail Road. Turn left at the stop sign onto Comox Logging Road. As soon as you cross the bridge at the dam, find a place to park on the side of the road. You may choose to move your car to a gravel parking area a little further up the road after unloading.

Launch Notes: You will be carrying your boat down to the lake on the left side of the road. The water level in the lake is high reducing the size of launch area, so paddlers will have to co-ordinate and work together to get us all launched and reloaded. We can do it!!!!
Please Note: You will be paddling into the sun, so don’t forget your hat and sunglasses!
