Destination: Depart from Saratoga Beach and go north or south depending on wind and waves

Date: Wednesday, August 4

Time: 5:00 PM, on the water by 5:30 PM

Meeting Place: Saratoga Beach Access Park (this is the the parking lot at Seaman Road, not the one at the end of Eyre Road) (https://goo.gl/maps/UmXnHbFnGZo9bwRz6)

Description: This will be a leisurely paddle along the shoreline. We’ll go for 2 or 3 hours, and maybe a swim upon return (the water there is usually warmer than other areas). Saratoga Beach is a sandy, shallow beach so it’s a great place to try out things that you haven’t done before or to just practice. I’ll be playing in the water for awhile after we return, so I’m happy to help anyone who wants to try wet exits and/or re-rentries.

High tide is at 5:34 and there is very little change in the following low tide, which means no long schlepping of boats and gear.

Length of trip: 2 or 3 hours

Rating: 1 (this could change to 2 if the wind picks up)
