Please note that due to Covid 19 (when this was written), it is mandatory to pre-register for every paddle.  If you wish to attend, send e-mail to the trip co-ordinator by 6 p.m. the day before the paddle.

Destination: Comox Lake

Date: June 2, 2021

Time: Paddles in the water at 6:00 PM. If more than 10 people register, then a second group will delay until 6:10. I will put people in groups as I receive their registration. I will respond to each registration by email after close of registration. By registering it is assumed that you have read and agree to the Comox Paddlers Club (CPC) Disclosure of Responsibilities, Release of Liability, Assumption of Risk and Indemnity on your membership form.

Meeting Place: Cumberland Lake Campground boat launch. Proceed through Cumberland and follow Comox Lake Road to the boat launch.

Description: We will follow the shoreline over to Perseverance Creek. If the water level is high enough, we will adventure up the creek as far as we can go and then paddle past Courtenay fish and game and have a walkabout at the Comox Dam and then will cross the lake to return to the launch site.

Length of Trip (hours/days): 2 to 2 1/2 hours

Rating: Rating is 1 (Day Paddle – Easy)

Maximum: 20 — 10 paddlers on the water in a group. One group will enter the water on the right side of the boat ramp. After they’ve cleared the area, the 2nd group will enter from the left side of the ramp.

Other Conditions: Please maintain social distancing of 2 m while onshore and 3 m while on the water. Until further notice, please do not invite guests. Members only.
