Description: Day paddle exploring the Winchelsea Islands

Length of Trip (hours/days): Maximum is 6 hrs including lunch break.

Other Conditions: Total paddle is 12 km. Biggest crossing is 1 km. One has to carry boats to beach along a trail that has ups and downs so have to watch footing.  Will have a longer kayak carry back when we return. Unable to use wheels.

Notes: Not a beginner’s paddle. Car pool if you can as parking is limited.

Driving notes: From Courtenay, Turn left at Petro Canada on Northwest Bay Road, Go to Powderpoint Road and turn right. Continue onto Fairwinds Dr.  Turn right onto Andover Rd, Turn left onto Amberwood Lane.
